This is an old, two piece, beautiful cut glass set of matching low bowls. They are clear, heavy and have very deep and sharp cuts. The designs include a 16 point star pattern (possibly Libbey?), a pinwheel design and other cuts. The edges are scalloped with a sawtooth design. The larger bowl measures a large 9" in diameter and is 2" high with the smaller piece measuring 7" across by 1 3/4" high. I purchased these pieces at an estate sale and was told they were over 80 years old. Both pieces do show wear inside and on the bottom and there are some chips to the sawtooth design. I can find no cracks and they both ring clear. Because of the matching pattern I am selling them together, but, if you are interested in only one, please contact me and we can discuss it. I will also be listing similar pattern pieces, if interested. I am not sure whether they are American Brilliant Period cut glass or Libbey, and will have to leave that up to the collectors out there who know.
